Sono piú di 3000 le “fiestas” in Spagna in cui la gente si diverte a torturare e uccidere animali. Eccone alcuni esempi:
Gennaio
Manganeses Polverosa (Castilla Leon). Una capra viva viene gettata dal campanile della chiesa*.
Febbraio
Villanueva de la Vera (Extremadura). Un asinello cavalcato dall’uomo più grasso del villaggio, attraversa il paese attorniato the hysterical crowd that beat him savagely.
March
Salas de los Infantes (Castilla-Leon). Chickens and turkeys are killed with sticks by blindfolded children, between the screams of the crowd unleashed.
April
Tordesillas (Castile-Leon). A bull is chased and killed by blows to launch a hundred men on horseback. Wins the "spear of gold" who manages to land the animal and cut his testicles while the bull is still alive and conscious.
May
Benavente (Zamora). Several bulls are slowly strangled with a rope tied to their neck and pulled by 300 men.
June
Coria (Caceres). The crowd chasing bulls through the streets of the village by throwing their darts and looking in his eyes. When the animals are castrated slumped, mutilated and stabbed to death.
July
Carpio del Tajo (Castilla la Mancha). Knights head off to live geese hanging from a rope stretched across the market square.
August
San Sebastian de los Reyes (Madrid). Dwarfs torture and maim some calves for hours. When the calves dying fall, the dwarfs dancing on their bodies.
Settembre
Ciruelas Cifuentes (Madrid). Delle giovani mucche vengono rincorse e schiacciate con dei trattori.
Ottobre
Fuenlabrade (Madrid). Quattro animali (tori o mucche) vengono picchiati, pugnalati, feriti con ogni tipo di strumento dalla folla e muoiono per dissanguamento.
Novembre
Igea (La Rioja). Si spezzano le membra a dei vitelli e poi li si getta nel vuoto da una piattaforma.
Dicembre
Notilla del Palancar (Cuenca). Nel corso di uno spettacolo delle galline vengono lapidate a morte.
